It has been a busy year for Fynns' Model Celine Chau.
Our exotic beauty has been jetting between New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Singapore lately and has become one of the industry's most sought after models.
Celine takes a moment from her busy schedule to talk to us about her career and working with Fynns' Models.
"It was just one year ago that you sent your photos to Fynns' by email. Can you tell us about that?"
Celine: "I was living in Singapore and was wondering if I could work as a model in big markets like New York, Paris and Milan. I sent my photos out to all the top agencies and none of them responded. The only agency that was willing to give me a chance was Fynns' Models.
"And we are so glad we did! Tell us what has happened for you in the past year."
Celine: "It has been a very busy year! I worked both the Summer and Fall Collections in New York and have booked jobs with most of the top designers including Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Gucci, Versace, Versus, Dior, Valentino, Escada, Oscar de la Renta, YSL, Vera Wang, Max Mara and Ungaro. After New York I flew to Los Angeles and worked almost every show during LA Fashion Week.
I also booked editorial work for Modern Bride, Fitness, Honey and Frank magazines and I just shot a print campaign for Reebok that will be in Teen Vogue, Seventeen and Lucky magazines this summer. It's been a really good year!"
"That's fantastic! We know that one of the reasons the clients like to work with you is because you are not only beautiful but you are also very professional and clearly understand the needs of the client. That is a great combination!"
Celine: "Thank you! Being a model is more than just having pretty pictures. You really need to think about the client and the image they are trying to project with their clothes and products. I try to stay grounded and do my job well and I don't get too caught up in hype that can surround this business."
"Do you have any advice for new models that are trying to break into the modeling business?"
Celine: "Don't give up. Get your face out there! It is important to be seen by as many people as possible.
Fynns' Models is a great place to start for new models that want more exposure."
"So, what's next for Celine Chau?"
Celine: "I will be flying to Paris next week for the Collections and then to Singapore for the shows there. After that I am taking a vacation of sun and fun in Australia with my boyfriend and then it's back to New York for the New York Collections."
